What is Acai
Published:October 26th, 2009After Oprah told Americans about the Acai berry, dubbing it the ‘super fruit’, its popularity across the country has been astounding. Acai is a small purple fruit that tastes like chocolate and berries. It’s grown in Brazil and has always been known for its medicinal benefits in the jungles. But recently people in America have finally learned about the berry and it’s amazing properties. The fruit doesn’t last very long, which is why it’s never available to eat at the grocery store.
However, in other form, such as pill form, it can be a great addition to your diet. Acai has multiple scientific reasons behind its properties. It is a substrade for Adenosine Triphospate, which gives you energy. It has ant-aging properties, mostly due to its anti-oxidant properties. It can also help regenerate your muscles, as it has lots of vitamin B and amino acids. Not only that, but it can help with your immune system, for the same reason. Lastly, it has a reputation for being able to help prevent heart disease. But above all, the reason for its popularity can be found in one ability: the ability to help you lose weight. Acai helps suppress your appetite, which means that you aren’t going to want to eat as much food. This is the best path towards weight loss and it is entirely natural.
